It's show time in the Territory! And do you think it might be too late enter this cake? Probably - since it was baked in 1956. There's something else a bit odd about this cake, made in Darwin so long ago. This humble sponge is made with one brolga egg, which, according the photo's caption in the Northern Territory Library collection, is equivalent to about six regular chicken eggs. On the matter of taste, this historical record is unfortunately silent.
